Boy Birthday

All Bruce said he wanted for his birthday was a singing card. He loves those things. Sure am tired of Domo Arigato Mr Roboto...

My big gift for Bruce was a guitar. Eric tuned it for him ... still looks good half naked holding a guitar.

Bruce's birthday theme started out as "farmer" and then morphed into "farmer robot"
... well farmer Wall-E actually, with a turtle pinata too' Eric got a flourless chocolate cake as his grown-up cake.

My camera ran out of batteries at the big birthday party so I have few pictures. I borrowed a few from Peter's facebook (hope you don't mind Peter). I can't think of much that would make Eric happier than drinking a beer while showing off the farm :) Other than being able to talk while doing so :)

Another of Peter's pictures. This one of his wife & our little friend Supergirl.

Wonder if Bruce will ever regret deciding he could only wear underwear at his 5th birthday party? Oh ... the party hat too. Well he only wore that for the candle ritual (actually hunted it down) and then promptly tossed the hat aside while walking off with 2 pieces of cake (part of an eye and something blue).

July 2009

We did another session of Tomatis listening with both kids and myself. Did you know that you can wear a Star Wars (ala Speed Racer) helmet & light saber over huge headphones while swinging!

Bruce decided to wash Juniper's hair and even make soap curls. She let him! I got the unpleasant task of rinsing though.

It isn't until I see photos of Bruce that I realize how much he looks like his daddy. These next two photos are at the BioPark.

FYI: while I post these Bruce is "borrowing" my spinning wheel to, in his words, "spin straw into gold." Oh ... nevermind now J is pushing B ... now B is stalking off to the bedroom and J is crying as she dramatically runs into the kitchen where I am sure she will promptly spill something. Yep ... I hear it hitting the floor.

Bare-beinged, buck-naked

Noticed that Bruce had stripped once again and I asked him where he dropped his clothes (so I could pick them as they weren't near being dirty) and he said, "I changed into my skin." Then he picked up his shirt and put it on the shelf. He also said that his skin keeps his bones warm.

Juniper donned her pink & purple apron from Bruce's bday party (theme = farmer) along with her boa & green beads. She asked me "What I look like?" Not knowing I said something like a turtle. She said, "Nooo, I look like a farmer. Brucie look like a farmer too." I cant believe what she comes up with at the age of 2 yrs 2 months.

For brownie points ... what movie used the phrase bare beinged, buck naked?
